At least 50% of the textile used in this product is made from TENCEL™. TENCEL™ is produced primarily from eucalyptus trees. These trees are grown to meet Forest Stewardship Council (FSC®) or the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) standards, which support environmentally and socially beneficial forest management. Once harvested, the wood from the trees is pulped and undergoes a series of chemical processes to produce the TENCEL™ fibre. TENCEL™ reduces its environmental impact, by using an energy and water efficient ‘closed loop’ process which recycles the nontoxic chemicals used to process the fibre.
